[721] Mini Review: ReStory: Chill Eletronics Repair
THIS GAME WAS SO FUN….. until it wasn’t. the gameplay loop got super repetitive, and maybe that was my fault because i stuck to mainly cleaning orders. allegedly the main story was only 10 hours, and here i was at almost 25-30, trying to amass money for the more expensive cleaning / repair licenses.
that’s another thing, what the HELL was going on in Akihabara??? i trusted absolutely nobody (aside from the little girl, i would die for her. she was adorable.)
i will say though, the 90s tech nostalgia was REAL!!

[720] Mini Review: A Little To The Left
i actually had this game (and its DLCs) sitting in my Steam library for ages, and I’m just now getting around to, and actually finishing it. it was very cute and the puzzles were challenging, but not to the point that they were frustrating. i only really got annoyed with the ones that the cat kept trying to mess up. haha! i loved that there was replay-ability with the Daily Tidy achievements, so you’ll at least have 100 short puzzles to do based on the levels you already completed in the main game. they were fun to do in the morning over a cup of tea, got my brain motivated for the day!

[719] 2026 Book Goal Smashed
At the beginning of the year, i set out to read 26 books in 2026, and back in July, i smashed it! woohoo! for 2027, i plan to shake things up a bit and just see how many i finish in general. i started the year number book goals back in 2024, but as of late, it feels overwhelming. like, i know i can do it no problem, but it loooooooms and honestly spikes my anxiety a bit.
so for next year, if you see my goal get smashed pretty quickly because i added one book, pay no mind to it until Dec 31st, lol
[718] Housekeeping Notes Edition 1
going forward, i will no longer be updating or using Storygraph. i will continue however, to keep the account open.
while i loved all the extra data points, it was kinda frustrating to get books on there.
being Goodreads recently unveiled a Did Not Finish shelf and that i exclusively read on a Kindle, it was just much easier to go back over there. Goodreads also has a bunch of reading challenges (as does StoryGraph mind) that i have enjoyed over the years. it helped me discover new books and authors that i may have not known about.
with that said, Storygraph has now moved to Placeholder Accounts in my tree of links. i should probably head over there one of these days and move a couple more of my social media accounts to that section now that i’m thinking about it.
it probably won’t get done right away, but at least i’m typing it here to hold myself accountable!!!

cute little zero combat platformer. you’re a CHICKEN on a journey to get the answer to the ultimate question: which came first, the chicken or the egg?
i finished in the course of about 10 hours, would have been shorter if not for SOME BULLSHIT PLATFORMING.
supposed to be cozy and relaxing and here i almost rage quit.
but you can get a fancy flower hat! š

[716] Mini Review: Librarian: Tidy Up The Arcane Library!
I had SO SO much fun with this game! A dear friend gifted it to me on Steam for my birthday and I just recently sat down with it to give it a go. If you are into organizational games, I highly recommend it and I also suggest giving the No Magic run a try! I really liked being able to put everything away myself by hand, and there’s even an achievement for it.
As you can see it took almost 60 hours, but it was absolutely worth it. Some of the book titles are absolutely laugh out loud hilarious (especially the romance novels, as you expect they got the 80s trashy bodice ripper vibes ON LOCK.)

[#715] Mini Review: Bloodlines 2
first off, forgive any janky formatting, iām typing this on my phone in the hopes to you knowā¦.use this more. iāve been feeling the pull to go back to social media and micro blogging, but i have a fully functioning website i pay for right here under my own control! and in my dead heart of hearts, i really do not want to go back to social media. iām doing just fine with the ākeep accounts open for friends that use it to send me stuff in DMsā model. LOL
ANYWAY, in July i resubscribed to Gamefly (YES, itās still alive!) think Blockbuster, but online and no rental deadlines.
The first game in my queue that i received was Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. now as an aside, this game was in development hell for years and we thought weād never see it released. that was the first thing that made me āmehā about it. the second thing, and ultimately was gonna be the reason i would never spend money on it was they were going to put my vampire clan of choice (Toreador) behind a paid dlc. they would eventually backtrack this and then just make an additional story content dlc for a npc. $15 bones though, what the helly!!
thirdly, the story just was an outright FLOP. i had gotten the anarchy ending, but it didnāt feel like an anarchy.
i would have been way happier with Fabien, the Malkavian detective and doing old timey noir detective things!! (Fabienās big reveal also made me pause the game and call my partner about it because i was so damn gobsmacked LOL)
as the player character storyline, things just felt really disjointed and wasnāt really going anywhere. you felt like you were justā¦.there, with no real development.
all in all, glad i rented it and didnāt spend any money on it (unless you count my Gamefly subscription) maybe when itās stupid cheap during a Steam sale iāll let it rot in my library til i get a better PC.

So I apparently already botched my plan to update this space at least once a month, oops.
March seemed to just zoom past me, in my defense….
Anyway, I recently got my Mother Dearest a bird feeder with a camera on it that uses a detection service to tell you what kind of bird is currently grabbing some dinner. Pretty neat, right?
In true autistic catgirl behavior, I’m probably using it more than she does and birdwatching is quickly approaching Special Interest territory.
Some of our coolest visitors so far have been a crow (they looked like they were HELLA judging our choice of feed) and one of my all time favorite birds, a Mourning Dove. The doves usually just ate what was knocked on the ground by all the other birds so it was so cool to see one on the feeder.

[#713] New Phone!
After 6 years, my beloved iPhone Mini 12 both ran out of space (yes, i’ve done a lot to take back space, 64GB still wasn’t enough.) and the battery was starting to give up the ghost.
I now have a very pretty iPhone 17 whose lavender hue actually matches my PC gaming controller, but i’ve taken to affectionately calling it Hythlophone, after one of my favorite Final Fantasy 14 NPCs, Hythlodaeus.
At first i was a bit apprehensive about the larger screen size because i got the tiny baby hands debuff, so the Mini line was PERFECT for me….and then Apple killed it. Luckily, i haven’t had much issue with typing with my thumb as normal.
The biggest plus, though? I ACTUALLY GET TO PLAY LOVE AND DEEPSPACE ON A MOBILE DEVICE AS INTENDED. fucking addicting dating sim gacha being 30+ GB….which outgrew my tablet, so I was playing it on my PC via emulator since the housing update came out.
Optimize your shit, devs. Sheeeeeeesh.
My only complaint is I find the Camera Control button absolutely bloody useless as i’m not a big picture taker.
the Action Button is neat, and a step up from the mute switch, though I wonder how long it takes before i bump it just right and unmute my phone when I don’t intend to. LOL
