After 6 years, my beloved iPhone Mini 12 both ran out of space (yes, i’ve done a lot to take back space, 64GB still wasn’t enough.) and the battery was starting to give up the ghost.
I now have a very pretty iPhone 17 whose lavender hue actually matches my PC gaming controller, but i’ve taken to affectionately calling it Hythlophone, after one of my favorite Final Fantasy 14 NPCs, Hythlodaeus.
At first i was a bit apprehensive about the larger screen size because i got the tiny baby hands debuff, so the Mini line was PERFECT for me….and then Apple killed it. Luckily, i haven’t had much issue with typing with my thumb as normal.
The biggest plus, though? I ACTUALLY GET TO PLAY LOVE AND DEEPSPACE ON A MOBILE DEVICE AS INTENDED. fucking addicting dating sim gacha being 30+ GB….which outgrew my tablet, so I was playing it on my PC via emulator since the housing update came out.
Optimize your shit, devs. Sheeeeeeesh.
My only complaint is I find the Camera Control button absolutely bloody useless as i’m not a big picture taker.
the Action Button is neat, and a step up from the mute switch, though I wonder how long it takes before i bump it just right and unmute my phone when I don’t intend to. LOL
